Who we are

This website is run by Serdar Emre Taptık, trading as LSS Film (Long Story Short Film), a sole proprietorship registered in Türkiye. For the purposes of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the data controller.

What we collect

• Brief form (Let’s Talk): your name, email address and project details, and, if you choose to give them, your company, where it is based, estimated dates, budget range and reference links.
• Build Your Shoot planner: your answers stay in your browser. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose “Send this brief”, which fills in the Let’s Talk form for you to review and submit.
• Email and phone: whatever you include when you contact us directly.
• Technical data: our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic request data to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website.

Why we use it, and on what basis

• To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and plan a production with you: this is a step taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
• To run a production you hire us for and to keep business and tax records: performing the contract and meeting our legal obligations.

We do not sell your data, use it for marketing lists, or make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

• Netlify, Inc. (United States), which hosts this website and receives brief form submissions.
• Our email provider, which delivers and stores our email.
• If you hire us, the crew, suppliers or authorities a production requires (for example for a filming permit), and only the details they need.
• Our accountant and public authorities where the law requires it.

Because our website host is based in the United States, information you send through the form is transferred outside Türkiye and the EU. This transfer is made to answer the request you send us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 12 months. If we work together, project and invoicing records are kept for as long as Turkish commercial and tax law requires.

Videos on this site

Films are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When you play a video, YouTube (Google) processes data under its own privacy policy. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of KVKK, and under the GDPR where it applies, you can ask us whether we process your data, get a copy of it, have it corrected or deleted, learn who it has been shared with, object to processing, and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. Write to emre@lssfilm.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, if you are in the EU, your local data protection authority.
